Uga Ulagalla - Anuradhapura

I enjoyed my stay at Ulagalla. It was close enough to see many of the cultural attractions of central Sri Lanka (Dambulla, Anuradhapura, Sigiriya) but far enough away to be a peaceful retreat. I enjoyed the time in my villa and the monkey visitors putting on a show in the morning. I had one of the best deep tissue massages I've ever had with Dina at the spa and enjoyed learning about the local communities during my scenic drive excursion. I booked the Kamatha dinner experience one night and was served enough food for about 5 people :) All of it was wonderful and a great way to try many Sri Lankan specialties.

This place is worth every penny! Paradise on earth with plenty of space and activities in a gorgeous setting. You've got free bikes that come with the room to explore the area which is surrounded by jungle, rice paddies and lakes. The food is delicious and the hosts are friendly and welcoming. Would strongly recommend!!

Very nice resort, beautiful surroundings. Very helpful staf. Excellent food! Pool villas are located very private in the nature. Monkeys and other animals on the terrain. Flexible for my husband who’s not so mobile. We did a very nice excursion including a high tea!

Hospitality and the service of the staff are among the outstanding highlights of our stay. Staff goes out of the way to ensure comfort and make the stay uncomfortable. We had a viper encounter, and the buggy driver went over and above to take care of everyone’s safety. Uga Ulagalla is built on the pillars of sustainability. The hotel's commitment to the local community is evident in its employment of local staff and its support of local farmers by purchasing their vegetables, fruits, and rice.
